If you need anti virus protection there is a lot available. Many of our cutomers - especially those with older computers - need help because they use Norton and McAfee (wonderful programs but heavy users of resources and therefore can cause problems).

We recommend AVG for all your anti virus protection - excellent software, it causes fewer problems and it costs less (sorry about that but you can pay more if it makes you feel better).

	Your very own IT Butler. Cost £35 per anum (per PC/Laptop). This is like an insurance policy. You sign up (and pay) for the service. When something goes wrong you telephone 01733 380513. Often what you need to sort out can be solved over the phone - if not you will get a home visit that will resolve the problem. There are no limits to to this service, you use the telephone support as often as you need to at no extra cost (unless you need new parts because your computer has died). You pay for support for a year and that is what you get.
	PC Home Support: Home visit £35.00 for the first hour (£25 after) Assess the problem and fix it if possible. Update virus definitions, remove spyware, adware, update Windows operating system with latest patches, remove junk files, repair and compact registry, and generally speed up your computer. What actually happens - sometimes it is cheaper to take away the PC, fix it and return it. Generally the total cost is £50 or less (for maximum cost see Offsite Repair).
	Offsite Repair: Pick up machine, effect repair, update virus definitions, remove spyware, update Windows with latest patches, remove junk files, repair and compact registry, test and re-install at premises. This is when PC Home Support is a bit too difficult or time consuming. Maximum cost £65 + parts (if required). Hard Drive information recovery. Think all is lost - it may still be saved.
